 Bailey's Story

From anxious teen to

anxiety-busting queen!

Bailey B. Carter (she/they) is a creative arts therapist located on Tio’tia:ke land in Montréal, Quebec. As a child, Bailey’s anxiety prevented her from making close friends, taking risks and fully enjoying life. They discovered that the only time their anxiety subsided was when they were making art or participating in theatre.

After years of untangling their own story, Bailey set out on the adventure of a lifetime – to get their undergraduate degree in Theatre & Psychology, and later their Master’s in Creative Arts Therapy & Drama Therapy from Concordia University. Bailey has also made it her mission to fight mental health stigma and the mistreatment of 2SLGBTQIA+ folks throughout every twist and turn of her quest.

About Their Practice

Bailey runs a private practice in which clients can learn to express themselves in unconventional ways through individual and group sessions, facilitated both in their studio and within community organizations. All services are built on the belief that we need to express our inner worlds through many mediums – most of them being more than words! We need stories, metaphors, movement, play, and art. In sessions and workshops, you are invited and encouraged to bring all the parts of you, whether you think they’re pretty or messed up or... both at the same time.

Ask yourself, “How could I allow for more playfulness today?” Join Bailey on a quest to find the fullest version of yourself in a safe and judgment-free environment of creation.
